Sam added: “We were up in Hertfordshire for my son’s golf competition.

“We took our motorhome, we got there just before 7pm, it was just about to get dark.

“We decided to go for a bit of a walk as we’d had quite a long drive.

“We were just walking through the woods and came out as we couldn’t really see.

“We walked up and my daughter saw what she thought was a shooting star.

“But then it started to go back up again.

“It then did all sorts, it was very interesting.

“It was a very very strange night up there

“When I showed someone they said it was a popular place for UFO sightings.”

Previous sightings of mysterious lights in the sky include a triangular flying object there in September 2001.

In 2007, numerous orange lights were seen before vanishing upwards.
